Recognizing this source of energy, Viola Spolin has applied the game form to theater disciplines and has arrived at her widely acclaimed Spolin Games technique. GiveandTake is an email discussion list is for those that
have studied Viola Spolin and Paul Sills based Theater-Games,
Story-Theater, and Improvisational Exercises. This especially includes
past students of Spolin and Sills well as other schools, workshops and studios that employ
these methods. The intention of this group is to create a deeper
understanding of the aforementioned work towards the application of
Acting, Directing, and Improvisational based Theatrical or Movie work.
Although comedy is a part of this work, this is not a discussion list for
comedy-based Improv (comedysports, theatersports, etc.). Especially
looking for current or past teachers or practitioners of this work but the
list is open to all.
