Welcome to the game! Here is how we
play Online Who Am I?
One person is selected to be the "Who Am I?" The moderator/host
will assign
an identity to that player and privately let every other player in the
room
know "who" the one player will be. You will get a message saying
Player one
is "Madonna" or "Hercules" or "Popeye" or
"Paul Revere" or some other well
known real, historical or fictional character.
Everyone in the room begins to chat with that person
AS THOUGH HE/SHE
ALREADY KNEW WHO THEY ARE. The other player must chat back, as
non-commitally as possible, playing along unitl they really know who they
are. When they do they announce it. That means the round is over and a
new player is picked.
The chatters should not drop heavy hintsand not make
it a guessing game. The dialogue should help the player figure it out
eventually. It's more fun that
way. Example: Character who does not know is called <Who Am I?>
and has to figure out that they are Paul Revere.
<Who Am I?> Hello
<Player 1> Boy, I hate all these new taxes.
<Who Am I?> Me too.
<Player 1> No more tea for me, I'm going to start drinking coffee!
<Who Am I?> Oh?
<Player 2> I need a new silver pot. I'd love it if you would do
the work,
you're so good. I may even ask you to make me some pans!
<Who Am I?> Sure.
The longer it goes, the more fun.
Don't say things like: "Gee Paul, the British are coming! What are
you going
to do?" Subtlety is the key.
Players who don't play well with others will be kicked
off. The moderator
will be happy to let others suggest Who Am I? personalities too. So with
that, come on in an let's play!
